1. Physical Excercise
As comfy as our beds and sofas can be during this time, there isn't anything like the gift of exercise. The rush of of endorphins in your system is the quickest way to shake off a low mood. Get your blood pumping in any way you can; Run, walk, cycle, heck dance around your living room! Anything to get your sweat on regularly will help your mind as much as your body. As a chronic pain warrior, practicing yoga has become my emotional life-saver, it has helped me zone out and relax whilst stretching and meditating my body through the pain. So just find something that works for you and try to stick to it daily.
2.Self Care Pamper yourself, try a new routine for your hair. Research some DIY remedies for your skin, like an oatmeal face mask. Experiment! You will feel more happy and energetic when you see a healthy and fresh face rather than a dull and tired face in the mirror. Schedule a regular skin care routine and a weekly pampering session for yourself .
3. Learn something new Immerse yourself in a something you always wanted to do or learn. Especially with all there extra time this year of 2020 has given us we definitely owe it to ourselves to try it. Learning a new language is always fun and after watching a few K-drama's, I was really intrigued with the Korean language so I decided to learn some basics.
4. Music
Music is truly therapeutic! It is crazy how listening to some of my favourite songs switches up my whole vibe and energy. Music has the power to influence my thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. I have literally a playlist for every mood ; I have a Twerking playlist, Cleaning playlist, a playlist for when I am really in my feelings and for when I when I want to go down memory lane. Thank God for #Spotify. I have listed some of my favourite Uplifting songs.

5. Fix your Sleeping Pattern As hard as it is to not give in to the urge to watch another episode on netflix, Girl! if you see the message "Are you still watching?' pop up switch it off and lay your head on that pillow! Sleep is seriously important for both our physical and mental health. We often underestimate the effects it has on us, you wonder why you are grumpy sometimes when you don't get enough. Well, the reason for this, is because sleep helps to regulate the chemicals in our brain that transmit information. These special chemical are in charge of managing our moods and emotions. If we don't get enough sleep, we can start to feel depressed or anxious. So Beauty Queens, need Beauty Sleep!

These are just 5 simple tips that each and every one of us can start doing to make our lives just a little bit better. They don’t cost any money, and most of them require minimal effort.
Happiness is not found overnight but if we start today, by making little changes to our day-to-day routine, when you add it all up it will go a long way towards improving our lives in the long-run.
